Opposition submitted a request for the dismissal of the FBiH Government, mandate expired 20 months ago

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, a proposal to vote no confidence in the FBiH Government, headed by Prime Minister Fadil Novalić, was submitted today.

This proposal was signed by more than 20 representatives from Our Party, SDP, NiP, PDA, A-SDA, and the Independent Bloc. Representatives from SDA, HDZ, DF, SBB, SD, and GS did not sign the proposal.

Ivan Boban, an SDP representative, stated that the entire opposition initiated the dismissal.

“We pointed out that now is the ideal opportunity, especially due to recent events, to move forward with this. The situation is clear, the new government will be formed by the same actors, so I see no reason why they shouldn't resolve this agony for us,” said Boban.

Commenting on the absence of DF signatures, Boban said that he understood that DF was in favor of dismissing the prime minister and deputy prime ministers, but had no issues with the rest of the government.

Irfan Čengić stated that the prime minister's mandate expired 20 months ago.

“He has lost the trust of the citizens, and he doesn't have the trust of this Parliament, and we see that they don't even trust each other in the work of the Government. It is finally time for the House of Peoples and Tomislav Martinović to schedule a session where the president and two deputy presidents of the Federation will be elected, after which we will elect a new government that will be the result of the October elections,” said Čengić.

He stated that seven ministers are serving in the FBiH Government who were elected to other positions.

“This government has no capacity, and we expect a session of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament,” said Čengić.
