Again at the bottom of Europe: Only 2% of unemployed in BiH receive state aid!

Only 2 percent of the unemployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina receive some form of state aid, announced the International Labour Organization (ILO), reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP). This is by far the lowest percentage of all European countries, and ranks among the lowest percentages in the world.

This organization yesterday published data on the share of unemployed individuals receiving aid from institutions, based on data collected through a multi-year analysis.

According to this data from the World Social Protection Report 2014–2015, only a small percentage, exactly two percent, of the unemployed have benefits and state aid, and this mainly refers to health insurance.

The unofficial unemployment rate in BiH is over 40 percent, and the official rate, also over 28 percent, is also the highest in Europe.

According to the same ILO data, in Serbia six percent of the unemployed receive aid, in Croatia 20 percent, and in Albania around seven percent. As many as 35 percent of the unemployed in Montenegro receive state aid. The highest percentage of unemployed receiving support is in Germany, at 88 percent, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
