Operational Communication Centre BiH-112 Organised a Drill

The Operational Communication Centre BiH-112 of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina today organised a Day for Distinguished Guests as part of the "Civil bridge 14B" drill, attended by officials from BiH institutions, the Ambassador of Great Britain to BiH Edvard Ferguson, representatives of EUFOR, and the military-diplomatic corps of NATO member states in BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.

The drill, conducted this month, is jointly carried out by the United Kingdom's Military Stabilisation and Support Group (MSSG) in cooperation with institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and lessons learned from situations modelled on last year's May floods.

The drill is an expression of the continued friendship of the Government and people of Great Britain towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was best demonstrated during the catastrophic floods in May 2014. The Deputy Minister of Security of BiH, Mladen Ćavar, recalled that during the 2014 floods, Great Britain provided assistance in rescuing the flooded population with a water rescue team.

Ambassador Ferguson, Commander of the 77th Brigade Brigadier General Alistair Aitken, and Commander of the drill Lieutenant Colonel Hedley French also addressed the attendees.
