Centar Municipality Council adopted the Budget for 2024, NIP supported, Our Party did not vote

(Patria) - Councilors of the Centar Municipality Council at the held 11th extraordinary session, after
lengthy discussion with numerous proposed amendments, adopted the Budget of the Centar Municipality for 2024. Also adopted was the Decision on the execution of the budget of the Centar Municipality Sarajevo for this year.

The Budget of the Centar Municipality was adopted with 17 votes in favor. Councilors from NIP, who actually hold the majority in the Centar Municipality Council, voted for the budget. This Caucus, along with several other councilors, voted for the recall of Mayor Srđan Mandić (Our Party) last year, and the referendum was never conducted due to problems with the procurement of voting materials.

Alen Girt from Our Party stated that they did not vote for the Budget because, due to the adopted amendments, they do not know the final amount of the Budget.

"We believe that there is no final figure for this budget here, and that there are a large number of irregularities, and we cannot participate in that," Girt said after 17 councilors supported the adoption of the Budget.

At today's session, the Council adopted an amendment for the infrastructural project of adapting the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium, so that the largest football stadium meets the UEFA 4 category of stadiums.

The proposal on the distribution of funds guarantees the transfer of KM 4,157,400 from other projects, in order to carry out the adaptation of the Koševo stadium.

The Council adopted the decision with 16 votes in favor.
