Municipal Court in Sarajevo confirms indictment against Rasim Smajić for violent behavior

The Municipal Court in Sarajevo confirmed on August 16 the indictment against Rasim Smajić for violent behavior, filed by the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Smajić is a representative of BOSS in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton and is accused of initially insulting and threatening representative Sabina Ćudić in the hall of the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton on June 28, 2016. After that, representative Predrag Kojović reacted, and Smajić grabbed him by the back, pulled him forcefully, and threw him to the floor, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Incidentally, the session of the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton was broadcast live that day by TVSA, which further disturbed both citizens following the broadcast and representatives in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton. Following the unfortunate incident, the broadcast was interrupted, as was the assembly session, which later resumed but without representative Smajić, who apologized to his colleagues and left the assembly hall.
