Municipal Court in Sarajevo orders Klix to return items seized during search!

The Council of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo today passed a decision upholding the appeal of the legal representatives of the Klix.ba portal, regarding the temporary seizure of items during the search of our portal's premises, which was carried out last week by order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, reports the Patria News Agency.

Thus, the temporarily seized items will be returned to the director of the Klix.ba portal, Dario Šimić, and the editor-in-chief and responsible editor, Jasmin Hadžiahmetović, upon the finalization of this decision.

The Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton has the right to appeal the mentioned decision. Let us remind you, the search warrant was signed by judge Igor Todorović, while the request for the search was submitted by prosecutor Suada Pašić on behalf of the Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton. 

The legal representatives of the Klix.ba portal filed an appeal within the legally prescribed period against the unlawful seizure of items that were supposed to be subject to expert examination, in connection with the "Dva papka" affair, i.e., the recording on which the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, speaks about the "purchase" of deputies in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska in order to form a parliamentary majority. As a reminder, Klix.ba published this recording on November 15, after which pressure began on the Klix editorial office.
