The Municipal Board of SDP BiH Ilidža, at its V regular session, made a decision to expel the president of the SDP BiH Councillors' Club in the Ilidža Municipal Council, Mahir Lokvančić, and SDP BiH councillor in the Ilidža Municipal Council, Fadil Lokvančić, reports the Patria News Agency.
- The reason for expelling the councillors is the disrespect of the positions of the Municipal Board of SDP BiH Ilidža in the Municipal Council by supporting the Budget for 2016, which we consider not to be in the interest of the citizens, but rather of groups and individuals gathered around the ruling majority.
Citizens of Ilidža Municipality must not be hostages to the personal interests of individuals holding power at the local level – this principle has been concretized by the Municipal Board of SDP BiH Ilidža with the harshest sanction of its municipal councillors to date. On every occasion in the future, the Municipal Board of SDP BiH Ilidža will act in favour of the considerable number of disenfranchised citizens.
