Stari Grad Municipality prepares for SFF, field inspection underway, streets in Baščaršija being washed and tidied

The Sarajevo Film Festival will be held from August 11 to 18 this year, and this largest film festival in the region and beyond is once again supported by the Stari Grad Municipality. The budget of the Stari Grad Municipality for this purpose allocates 15,000 KM, and in addition, the Municipality has also engaged in other preparations to ensure Sarajevo is ready to welcome the numerous guests of this festival. Given that the Cantonal Government has requested strict control over the use of public spaces during that period, the Municipality has welcomed this requirement prepared. Namely, municipal inspectors are already working in two shifts to control the use of public spaces, from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, and during the SFF they will also work on weekends, reports the Patria agency.

Given the expected large influx of tourists, all necessary information, as well as city maps, will be available at the municipal Info-Press Center, and the Municipality, together with the Association „Guardians of Tradition“, has prepared the application „Guide2Sarajevo“ which will help them discover all the beauties and cultural-historical landmarks of the city.

The Municipality has engaged the DVD “Vratnik“ for washing the streets in the Baščaršija core, and these works are carried out during the night hours. According to the work program, washing is planned for Baščaršija Square, Sarači Street, Ferhadija, Bravadžiluk, Ćurčiluk veliki and mali, Kazazi, Gazi-Husrev begova, Protin sokak, and others. KJKP “Rad“ also announced that starting this week, the summer general street washing in Stari Grad begins and that all available machinery will be directed to the streets in this municipality.
