Stari Grad Municipality: 175 Hediyas Distributed on the Occasion of Kurban-Bajram

In the Stari Grad Municipality, a distribution of funds was organized on the occasion of Kurban-Bajram for 175 families of the veteran population, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Those present were greeted by Mayor Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, who wished them happy Bajram holidays and said that over the past eight years, 470,000 KM has been allocated for this purpose.

- This is just a small form of assistance we can provide and a way to pay respect to these families who have given their loved ones – said Hadžibajrić.

The distribution of hediya (cash funds) to members of the veteran population is a tradition that has been nurtured in the Stari Grad Municipality for many years, and it takes place three times a year (on the occasion of Ramadan and Kurban Bajram, and the Day of the Stari Grad Municipality). According to data from the competent service, nearly half a million convertible marks have been allocated for these purposes in the past eight years.

This time, hediya in the amount of 100 KM was received by one hundred families of martyrs, fifty war military invalids, and 25 unemployed demobilized soldiers. Many of them thanked the municipality and the mayor for not being forgotten.
