Rama Municipality Refused to Declare Komšić Undesirable

(Patria) - The Mayor of Rama Municipality, Jozo Ivančević from HDZ 1990, rejected the request of HDZ BiH to declare the Croat member of the Presidency of BiH, Željko Komšić, an undesirable person in that municipality as well.

Ivančević told "Oslobođenje" on Friday that he does not want to participate in a campaign whose sole purpose is to cover up all the failures for which, in his opinion, the leader of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, and the policies he pursued are responsible.

"The candidacy and election of Željko Komšić have become the main cover for Dragan Čović for all the serious failures, inconsistencies, and unfulfilled promises," Ivančević said.

"That party has a very strong media machinery that produces all sorts of spins," Ivančević added, reports Patria. 

Several mayors of municipalities in the Federation of BiH, who are members of HDZ, have declared Komšić undesirable persons in those local communities, in response to the loss of HDZ's candidate for the Presidency of BiH, Dragan Čović.

"One should remember the elections for the member of the Presidency for HDZ member Ivo Miro Jović and whose hands elected him, then the election of Jozo Križanović... Nobody mentions that in these elections, a Serb, Zora Dujmović, was elected to the list of HDZ BiH in HNŽ," said Ivančević, who supported Diana Zelenika in the last general elections for a member of the Presidency of BiH. 

Ivančević said that the main problems faced by Croats in BiH today stem from the policies of HDZ BiH and Dragan Čović, not from the election of Komšić to the Presidency of BiH.

"We have long opposed Čović's monolithic thinking and are democratically showing our position. This showing of our position does not have to be an immediate path to a split, but rather the development of democracy within the party, but also in the entire community. If a split occurs, it is precisely the realization of Dragan Čović's goal, who is trying to destroy the opposition among Croats in BiH. We in Prozor-Rama do not plan to change the opinions and positions expressed during the founding of HDZ 1990," said Ivančević. He said that he also strives to maintain a correct relationship with citizens who are in DF, and he is proud of that.

"As mayor, I want to be that for all citizens," said Ivančević.
