The Municipality of Vogošća is still operating 24 hours a day, so that citizens have someone to turn to if they notice even the smallest landslide nearby again, reports the BiH news agency Patria. A, 24-hour working hours have been introduced since the first day of the catastrophic floods that hit BiH, by the mayor of this Municipality, Edin Smajić.
During the unprecedented natural disaster that hit a larger part of Bosnia and Herzegovina starting from May 15th, more than 140 landslides, cracks, and sinkholes were activated in Vogošća. According to geologists, 40 of them are high-risk. 23 houses were destroyed or damaged.
A few days ago, municipal services had to find new accommodation for 23 families from the settlement of Svrake, where a landslide destroyed eight houses and damaged several others, writes Patria.
