JABLANICA MUNICIPALITY HAS PROJECTS European Commission donation of 20 million euros to be implemented through UNDP and IOM

(Patria) - The Mayor of Jablanica, Emir Muratović, met on Thursday in Jablanica with representatives of the United Nations Development Programme - UNDP, with whom he discussed the implementation of 20 million euros, which the European Commission will implement through UNDP and IOM (International Organization for Migration) for the rehabilitation of facilities and infrastructure affected by the natural disaster.

The funds will be implemented through public calls to be issued by these organizations, and priority will be given to projects in the fields of infrastructure, reconstruction of residential and public buildings, and support for business entities that have suffered consequences during the recent floods and whose operations are threatened.

The goal of implementing these funds is to improve the living conditions of citizens and provide assistance for the fastest possible recovery after the natural disaster.

The Municipal Mayor Emir Muratović informed the UNDP representatives about the activities being carried out by the Municipality of Jablanica, referring to the development of threat assessment studies, stabilization and rehabilitation of the terrain in cooperation with the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering of Tuzla, whose findings will be key for further planning of rehabilitation and construction of facilities, it was announced from the Municipality of Jablanica.

The UNPD representatives expressed their praise for the municipal administration and its proactive approach and exceptional preparedness for the realization of upcoming projects. As they pointed out, the Municipality of Jablanica is a leading municipality in preparatory activities, which will significantly facilitate the implementation of planned activities.

Mayor Muratović expressed his satisfaction with the continuation of successful cooperation, emphasizing that another meeting, in an expanded composition, will be held on Friday, January 24, between representatives of the Municipality and UNDP, after which the public will be informed about the details of all upcoming activities in the following period.
