Ilidža Municipality: Situation at critical points under control, situation to be monitored during the night

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The second emergency session of the Civil Protection Headquarters of Ilidža Municipality was held, and reports from field coordinators were reviewed.

Municipal Mayor Nermin Muzur emphasized that the current situation on the ground is under control, the water level is receding, and the measures and activities undertaken during the day have yielded results, with all critical points under control. In the local communities of Otes, Donji Kotorac, and Butmir, where the situation was extremely difficult, it is now largely under control.

Duty teams have been established to continue patrolling and monitoring the situation on the ground during the night, and another session of the Civil Protection Headquarters of Ilidža Municipality has been scheduled for the morning hours.

Also on the ground are the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration, the Mountain Rescue Service, the Federal Civil Protection Administration, representatives of the Police Administration, firefighters, and other services available to citizens for whatever is needed. The Civil Protection Headquarters of Ilidža Municipality has also provided packages of food, water, and hygiene supplies for the most vulnerable citizens.

"I sincerely hope that the hardest part regarding the rise in water levels is behind us and that we are heading towards better times," said Muzur.
