
(Patria) - The Ilidža Municipality has announced a competition for scholarships for high school students and university students in higher education for the 2024/2025 school/academic year who achieved excellent results in the previous school/academic year.
The right to participate in the Competition for scholarships for the 2024/2025 school/academic year and to receive a scholarship is held by students who meet and fulfill the following criteria:
a) are citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and have residence in the area of the Ilidža Municipality;
b) are enrolled for the first time as regular students in public secondary schools and regular
c) students of faculties/academies (public higher education institutions) that are members of the University of Sarajevo, regular students of public higher education institutions that do not exist at the University of Sarajevo but are located in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, or regular students of private secondary schools and regular students of private higher education institutions in the Sarajevo Canton area who, based on achieved results in knowledge, have acquired the right to a full tuition scholarship of 100%;
d.1) first-grade secondary school students who had a minimum average grade of 4.90 from the sixth to the ninth grade of elementary school and exemplary behavior;
d.2) second, third, and fourth-grade secondary school students and university students who achieved the following overall success in the previous school/academic year (2023/2024):
second, third, and fourth-grade students with a minimum average grade of 4.90 and exemplary behavior,
regular first-year students of faculties/academies with a minimum average grade of 4.90 and appropriate behavior in the final year of secondary school, regular students (first and second cycle of studies) of faculties in the technical and medical sciences group with an average grade of at least 7.50, and other faculties/academies with an average grade of at least 8.50;
e) have not repeated the previous year of study;
f) have not received a scholarship on the same basis from another body, institution, public company, or foundation.
Graduate students (absolvents) are not eligible for scholarships.
The scholarship is awarded for the 2024/2025 school/academic year and will be paid over 10 months.
Along with the completed application for the competition (the application form can be obtained at the Citizen Service Center of the Ilidža Municipality or at www.opcinailidza.ba), candidates must submit the following:
- Certificate of citizenship of BiH;
- Residence registration;
- Confirmation of enrollment in the 2024/2025 school/academic year as a regular student;
a) Proof of success with the average grade from the sixth to the ninth grade of elementary school for first-grade secondary school students
b) Proof of success with the average grade in the 2023/2024 school year for second, third, and fourth-grade secondary school students and first-year university students,
c) Certificate of average grade in the 2023/2024 academic year for second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth-year university students,
d) Proof that the candidate, based on achieved results in knowledge, has acquired the right to a full tuition scholarship of 100% in the 2024/25 school/academic year (for students of private secondary schools and regular students of private higher education institutions in the Sarajevo Canton area);
The current account number of the student, or the parent/guardian if the student is a minor, to which the scholarship will be paid.
All documents submitted as proof of meeting the conditions must be originals or certified copies and must not be older than 6 months.
Documents submitted with the application for the Competition will not be returned.
The deadline for submitting applications is 15 (fifteen) days from the date of publication of the Competition. Applications with proof of meeting the Competition conditions should be submitted to the Citizen Service Center of the Ilidža Municipality or by mail to the address: Općina Ilidža, Butmirska cesta 12, 71210 Ilidža.
Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered.
