Ilidža Municipality: The biggest challenges are the Tilava River in the Butmir settlement

(Patria) - The 4th emergency session of the Civil Protection Headquarters of Ilidža Municipality was held, where a review of the situation in the area of Ilidža Municipality as of 12:00 was made.

The situation is still under control, and the biggest challenges at the moment are the Tilava River in the Butmir settlement and the Večerica River in Hrasnica, but activities are currently being undertaken to manage and contain the water in order to prevent major problems. In other local communities, the situation is quite favorable, but teams are still patrolling the field and taking necessary actions to prevent and remediate damage.

The Željeznica River is currently within its riverbed and the water level is decreasing.

In the coming period, teams will be in the field and will analyze roads in places where the water has receded, and activities will be undertaken to clean and possibly repair the roads.

The situation in the field will continue to be monitored, and efforts are being made to deliver sandbags to places where needed. The next session of the Civil Protection Headquarters is scheduled for 16:00.

Also, teams are in the field delivering packages of food, water, and other necessities to citizens in need.

"We call on citizens to contact the Civil Protection Service as well as the secretaries of local communities for all information," it was announced.
