Ilidža Municipality Gives 50 KM to Its Oldest Residents

The Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Prof. Dr. Senaid Memić, and the Head of the Service for Coordination of Local Communities, Enes Čorbo, hosted a reception yesterday, February 9, for 30 of the 1,519 oldest residents of Ilidža Municipality, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

On that occasion, they were given cash gifts in the amount of 50 KM, while all other residents over 80 years of age will receive 50 KM at their home address.

- I wish you many more years so that we can meet again, and this small gesture is only confirmation that you are not forgotten. The humanity of our municipality is seen through this meeting and care for you. It is a great honor to be with you today. We appreciate what you have done during your working life. This amount of 50 KM for you 1,519 is just confirmation of our relationship towards you. I hope we will see each other next year as well - said Mayor Memić.

Fehim Čedić, who is 82 years old, thanked the mayor for the organized meeting and the financial support.

- This reception means a lot to me. It means that our mayor values and respects us. Many thanks to him - said Čedić.
Enver Mrzić (97) also had words of praise for the mayor's gesture.
- He remembers us every year in February, and I greatly appreciate this meeting and the words with which he delights us - added Mrzić.
