Ilidža Municipality has the support of the KS Government, planned activities with the City of Sarajevo

SARAJevo, (Patria) – Last week, the municipality of Ilidža and its mayor Nermin Muzur were visited in separate meetings by KS Prime Minister Edin Forto and Deputy Mayor Haris Bašić.  

One of the projects that the KS Government and the Ministry of Transport want to realize in this municipality is the construction of a tram line from Ilidža to Hrasnica.

Prime Minister Forto and Mayor Muzur discussed capital projects. Also, projects to be included in the next Budget and the rebalancing of the 2021 Budget are planned.

“We thank Prime Minister Forto for the visit and for his attitude towards our municipality in the past period. The thematic session on security and resolving the migrant crisis was extremely important to us, as was the session regarding the water protection zone, given that this topic directly relates to the area of our municipality. The support of the Government of Sarajevo Canton is important to us, both in these areas and in the realization of large capital projects in the coming period,” said Mayor Muzur.

Prime Minister Forto emphasized that the Government of Sarajevo Canton, in accordance with its capabilities, will provide support to the Municipality of Ilidža with the aim of developing and improving this local community, as well as Sarajevo Canton itself.

During the visit of Deputy Mayor Bašić, cooperation between the City and the Municipality was discussed, regardless of the fact that Ilidža is not a city municipality within the City of Sarajevo.

Municipal Mayor Muzur expressed his satisfaction with this visit and emphasized that the Municipality of Ilidža is always ready for cooperation. He expressed readiness for the realization of joint projects, as well as the exchange of experiences and positive stories with the aim of improving the quality of life of citizens in local communities.

Deputy Mayor Bašić said that the City of Sarajevo plans to realize many activities in the coming period and that he is pleased to have the Municipality of Ilidža as a partner in his work.

The Municipality of Ilidža is the leading municipality in Sarajevo Canton in terms of the number of overnight stays by tourists visiting BiH and has the most accommodation capacities.
