Ilidža Municipality: Slight Improvement on the Ground, Emergency Session of the Civil Protection Staff Concluded

(Patria) - The III emergency session of the Civil Protection Staff of Ilidža Municipality was held in the morning hours, analyzing the current situation in the area of Ilidža Municipality. Municipal Mayor Nermin Muzur and duty teams visited locations in the municipality every hour during the past night to monitor the situation on the ground and take necessary measures and activities to combat and establish control over flooded areas.

A slight improvement on the ground compared to the previous day was noted, and monitoring of potential changes in riverbeds and the most affected local communities will continue.

The greatest potential problems were identified in the local communities of Butmir, Kotorac, Otes, and Osjek. Two mobile teams have been formed to continuously tour the entire territory of Ilidža Municipality, and duty teams from all civil protection service units are on the ground visiting citizens.

The water level in the riverbeds is decreasing, and the embankments placed at critical points have managed to establish control over the water flow.

A new session of the Staff is scheduled for 12:00 PM, where the situation on the ground will be analyzed in detail, along with a proposal of measures for further activities.
