Municipality Centar Donated 5,000 KM for Renovation of Burned Room at Pofalići Church

Mayor of Municipality Centar Dževad Bećirević and Chairman of the Municipal Council Nedžad Ajnadžić visited the Church of the Transfiguration in Pofalići on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, where on August 21st, an inventory room was set on fire. On this occasion, as good hosts, priests Jadran Danilović and Čedomir Đelmo gave their guests from Centar a tour and showed them the interior of the church, acquainting them with the history of this only Orthodox place of worship in the area of Novo Sarajevo, reports Patria agency.

After touring the church premises and the storage area where the fire was set, Bećirević and Ajnadžić informed the church representatives that the Municipality Centar had donated 5,000 KM for the renovation of the burned rooms. Although the church is located in another Sarajevo municipality, as good hosts, they felt the need to visit and help their neighbors.

On this occasion, Mayor Bećirević and Chairman Ajnadžić were presented with letters of gratitude for their overall contribution to this religious community, which operates within the Serbian Orthodox Church Municipality of Dolačka. They emphasized that the Municipality Centar was the first institution to provide concrete assistance after the church storage was set on fire.
