Centar Municipality co-finances winter preparations for FK Sarajevo players

The Mayor of Centar Municipality, Dževad Bećirević, hosted today the director of FK Sarajevo, Dino Selimović. On this occasion, Bećirević and Selimović signed a protocol by which the Centar Municipality allocated funds for co-financing the winter preparations of FK Sarajevo players, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

According to Bećirević, the Centar Municipality has been supporting the work of FK Sarajevo for years.

- The Centar Municipality stood by FK Sarajevo when it was hardest. Now FK Sarajevo expects better days in which more notable results will be achieved, but in the time when it was hardest, we were there. For the club, all the people, but also for the name and brand itself - Bećirević pointed out.

Selimović thanked for the support and understanding that this local community has towards sports clubs.

- It is certain that the Centar Municipality is one of the most reliable partners of FK Sarajevo. We are very grateful, first of all to Mayor Bećirević, and then to the Municipal Council. For several years now, they have had an ear and understanding for supporting the development of FK Sarajevo. We are a club that represents the Centar Municipality and the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and these funds are primarily significant for us to achieve sports goals that we should all be proud of in the future. Through our work in the past few years, we have shown that we are a socially responsible club that fulfills all its obligations, and therefore I believe we deserve support. I hope we will have such good cooperation in the coming years as well - Selimović emphasized.

The funds provided by the mentioned protocol are not the only assistance that the Centar Municipality provides to FK Sarajevo. Namely, the Municipality allocated 50 thousand marks in this year's budget to the Public Institution Center for Sports and Recreation, and this money will be spent on maintaining the greenery at the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium, where FK Sarajevo plays its home matches.
