Municipality Centar Joins Project for Establishing Address Register

Mayor of Municipality Centar Dževad Bećirević signed an agreement with Željko Obradović, Director of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs, and Anđa Zimić, Director of the CILAP project, thus including the Municipality in the establishment of an address register for the Centar area, reports the Patria News Agency.

CILAP is a project of the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Public Property Authority which will provide a software solution, its installation, and user training for the establishment and maintenance of the address register.

According to Obradović, this is about resolving a very important issue.

- This is a pilot project supported by the Federal Geodetic Administration within the CILAP project. Our ultimate goal is to establish an address register throughout the Federation. It is beneficial for citizens and municipalities that own address data, and we want to create one system.

We have developed a software application and are making it available to all municipalities. Now it is up to the municipalities to install this application, undergo training, create the address register project, and mark all streets and squares in the municipalities of all cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is one of the most important registers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, meaning that every building will get its address, emphasized Obradović.

In addition to Mayor Bećirević, Đenita Bogunić-Kešelj from the Service for Spatial Planning and Communal Affairs, and Amir Mujan from the Service for Property-Legal and Geodetic Affairs and Real Estate Cadastre, attended the meeting on behalf of Municipality Centar, it was announced from Municipality Centar.
