Municipality Centar with 70,000 KM helps seven more affected areas

Members of the Collegium of the Centar Municipal Council and the Municipal Civil Protection Headquarters, at a session on July 3rd chaired by Nedžad Ajnadžić, President of the Centar Municipal Council, adopted a decision to allocate an additional 70,000 KM from the municipal budget as aid for seven municipalities affected during the major May floods, reports the Patria News Agency.

On this occasion, it was decided that, based on the requests of the flooded municipalities, 10,000 KM each will be given to: Vogošća, Kladanj, Sokolac, Vareš, Ilijaš, Pale-Prača, and Sanski Most. For the first four municipalities, the allocated funds are intended for the repair of landslides, road infrastructure, and water supply networks, as well as the repair of damaged housing units and auxiliary facilities, and the restoration of agricultural assets. The remaining municipalities will be able to use the donations from the Municipality of Centar for the repair of flood protection dikes, the procurement of fuel, the engagement of machinery and vehicles, as well as material resources.

The aforementioned funds for these seven municipalities were allocated from a grant of 500,000 KM, which, at the proposal of Mayor Dževad Bećirević, was unanimously approved by the Centar Municipal Council for aid to flooded areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

For the first part of the funds from the mentioned 500,000 KM for aid to flooded areas, the Collegium of the Municipality, together with the members of the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Municipality of Centar, at a session on June 6th, made a decision to distribute 395,000 KM as aid for 25 municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Brčko District.

Thus, it was decided to donate 50,000 KM to the neighboring Municipality of Vogošća; 30,000 KM each was allocated to the municipalities of Ilidža, Maglaj, and Domaljevac-Šamac, and 20,000 KM each to the municipalities of Orašje, Odžak, Doboj Jug, and Doboj Istok. Aid from the Municipality of Centar in the amount of 10,000 KM each was received by municipalities in the Federation: Zavidovići, Žepče, Zenica – Nemila, Tuzla, Olovo, Gračanica, Kalesija, Teočak, Živinice, Sapna, and Čelić, and in the Republika Srpska, the cities of Doboj and Bijeljina, and the municipalities of Šamac and Vukosavlje. The same amount of funds was allocated to the Medžlis of the Islamic Community Vlasenica, and the Municipality of Rogatica received 5,000 KM. For the Brčko District, the Municipality of Centar allocated 10,000 KM.
