Municipality Centar Distributes Monetary Donations on the Occasion of Christmas

On the occasion of the upcoming major Catholic holiday of Christmas, the Municipality Centar hosted a traditional reception on Thursday, December 22, 2016, for members of ten families of fallen soldiers, members of the Army of RBiH of Catholic faith. On this occasion, symbolic financial assistance from the Municipality Centar was presented to the present members of the veteran families as a small token of appreciation, Patria reports.

The families of fallen soldiers were hosted by the Mayor of Municipality Centar Nedžad Ajnadžić, the President of the Municipal Council Karolina Karačić, the Municipal Secretary Jasna Beba, the Assistant Mayors for Finance and Veteran-Disability Protection Fahrudin Kurtović and Đulaga Hamza, and the Mayor's advisors Mustafa Resić and Bećir Sirovina.

Congratulating the attendees on the upcoming Christmas with wishes for good health and progress, Mayor Ajnadžić emphasized that the tradition of gathering on religious holidays will continue in the future.

- It is a great pleasure for us to have a continuity of gatherings before important religious events. On behalf of all employees of the Municipality Centar, I congratulate you on the upcoming holiday with wishes that you be alive, healthy, and happy. I deeply respect and appreciate all those who gave their lives for the defense of the state of BiH and I wish for our country to be exactly as they wanted it to be. It should be an organized, multi-ethnic, multicultural, and multi-confessional space that cherishes civilizational and European values. Merry Christmas and much health, happiness, prosperity, and determination to be good neighbors - Ajnadžić said.

Among those present at the reception was Mara Livaja, who lost her husband Ivan in the ranks of the Army of RBiH during the past war.

- I have been coming here for the Christmas reception for many years and I want to thank the Municipality Centar for remembering us in this way. This is a nice token of attention that makes us very happy. We are glad that we are not forgotten and that there is someone who thinks of us - said Livaja.
