Centar Municipality supported the project of the Association “SOS – Kinderdorf International” with 2,000 KM

According to the Law on the Basics of Social Protection, children without parental care have the right to accommodation in a social care institution until they become capable of independent living.

The Association „SOS – Kinderdorf International“ has launched the project „SOS House for Youth Breka and semi-independent living of young people in the family model of care of the SOS Children's Village Sarajevo“, the implementation of which was financially supported by the Centar Sarajevo Municipality with 2,000 KM as part of support for non-governmental organization projects.

The goals of the said project are to achieve progress within individual development goals for each child and young person, health status, social-emotional development, acquisition of qualifications, education, and utilization of potentials and abilities.

The project participants are young people living in the SOS House for Youth Breka or who have completed the semi-independent living cycle, as well as Social Work Centers, and among other things, it is planned to provide adequate housing, health monitoring, learning support, and advisory activities by professional staff.

We remind you that in this year's budget of the Centar Municipality, 300,000 KM has been allocated for support to projects of non-governmental organizations and associations.
