Centar Municipality supported the Affirmation Association project with 2,000 KM

Based on the research of the Affirmation Association, it was determined that since 1991, there has been no training for sport pilots of airplanes and gliders in Sarajevo as a basis for further education, the absence of air shows in Sarajevo, no unemployed pilots and air traffic controllers at the Employment Service, and no trained firefighting aircraft pilots in the Civil Protection.

The Affirmation Association launched the project "Professional Orientation towards Deficit Aviation Professions", the implementation of which was financially supported by the Centar Municipality Sarajevo with 2,000 KM, as part of the support for projects of non-governmental organizations, it was announced from this municipality, writes Patria.

The goals of the aforementioned project are to increase interest in aviation, as well as sport, civil, and military aviation, but also for young people to gain new knowledge in the field of aviation, and to enable further progress for young people who want to engage in aviation.

Participants in the project included high school students from the Centar municipality, faculties that train aviation personnel, aeroclubs, the MUP helicopter unit, Civil Protection, and the Aviation Associations of the Canton, FBiH, and BiH.

At the end of the project, a simulation exercise of air traffic control operations was conducted. The evaluation showed that 80 percent of the participants showed interest in professional orientation for aviation professions, which is also a qualitative indicator of the successful implementation of project activities.

We remind you that 300,000 KM have been allocated in this year's budget of the Centar Municipality for the support of projects of non-governmental organizations and associations.
