Centar Municipality continues with projects for insulating school and kindergarten buildings

Confirming its commitment to energy-sustainable development based on the principles of energy efficiency, sustainable construction and the use of renewable energy sources, Centar Sarajevo Municipality continues with projects for insulating school buildings with the aim of energy savings, it was announced from the Centar Municipality, reports the Patria news agency.

After the successful completion of such a project for the elementary school ''Alija Nametak'', preparations are underway for the implementation of insulation projects by installing thermal insulation facades on several more school and kindergarten buildings in the area of the Centar Municipality.

As stated by architect Ljiljana Borovčanin-Ćirković, senior expert associate in the municipal Center for Business Support, who leads these projects on behalf of the Centar Municipality, regarding the next energy efficiency projects, energy audits are being obtained for four facilities: Phase II for Elementary School ''Alija Nametak'', Elementary School ''Musa Ćazim Ćatić'', kindergarten ''Šareni voz'' and the Youth Center in Gorica.

-The value of works on insulating the building of the school ''Musa Ćazim Ćatić'' is 150,000 KM, and they will be jointly financed by the Centar Municipality with 100,000 KM and the federal Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection with the remaining amount of funds.

Insulation of the kindergarten ''Šareni voz'' facility is estimated at 60,000 KM. In the coming period, procedures for selecting the most favorable bidders for the mentioned projects will be carried out, so that the signing of contracts is expected in September. As for other documents, the energy audit for the building of the Elementary School ''Hasan Kikić'' in Gorica has been completed, and a public procurement procedure is underway for obtaining a detailed energy audit for Elementary School ''Mehmed-beg Kapetanović Ljubušak'', explained Ljiljana Borovčanin-Čirković.
