Municipality Centar allocates 5,000 KM to the Secondary Trade School for replacement of glass portals

Municipality Centar Sarajevo, led by Mayor Dževad Bećirević, is one of the few local communities that allocates financial resources from its budget to improve the education system and enhance the working conditions of kindergartens, primary, and secondary schools located within its territory, despite not having direct jurisdiction over education. From the municipal budget for 2016, 5,000 KM was allocated to the Secondary Trade School, continuing the long-standing commitment to improving working conditions in this educational institution, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The director, Kanita Selmanović-Kulo, expressed gratitude for the past years of financial support from the Municipality Centar to the school, adding that the funds donated this year were used for the replacement of glass portals on the school staircase.

- We have already completed the project of replacing the glass portals on the school staircase, thanks to the financial support of the Municipality Centar. This is not the first time the Municipality has helped the school's projects, and we are extremely grateful for that. We receive a donation every year, and I hope this form of cooperation will continue in the future - Kulo said.

In previous years, the Municipality Centar also allocated financial resources to improve working conditions in this secondary school institution, including 10,000 KM for the reconstruction of the hall and renovation of sanitary facilities and changing rooms for students, 10,000 KM for the replacement of radiators and windows in the physical education hall, 5,000 KM for the purchase of equipment in two classrooms, 10,000 KM for the renovation of student toilets, and 2,500 KM for the renovation of the school's entrance staircase.
