Centar Municipality provides backpacks and school supplies for first-graders again this year

For years, the Centar Sarajevo Municipality, although education is not within the jurisdiction of local self-government units, has allocated significant funds to provide students with the best possible conditions for acquiring knowledge. In addition to investing in school facilities, the Centar Municipality, bearing in mind the difficult financial situation of most parents, provides funds for the purchase of school backpacks and supplies every year, it was announced from this Municipality, as reported by the Patria agency.

This year, the Centar Municipality allocated 35,000 marks for this purpose, and the supplies will be distributed to all first-graders from 11 elementary schools in the area of the Centar municipality.

As was the custom in previous years, representatives of the Centar Municipality will wish the first-graders a successful schooling by visiting and handing over school supplies and backpacks on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 11:00 AM, at the “Safvet beg Bašagić” Elementary School (Gimnazijska 1).
