Municipality Centar: 50,000 KM for improving working conditions in kindergartens

Although the Municipality Centar does not have direct jurisdiction over education, it has been allocating significant funds from its budget for many years to improve the education system and working conditions in kindergartens, elementary, and secondary schools located within its area. From the municipal budget for 2015, funds in the amount of 50,000 KM were allocated to the Public Institution "Children of Sarajevo", reports the Patria News Agency.

The Public Institution "Children of Sarajevo" is an institution whose activity is preschool upbringing and education of children aged from six months to school age. The general goal of preschool upbringing and education is to ensure optimal and equal conditions for every child from birth to school age to develop and realize their full potential and competencies through various forms of quality and professionally autonomous institutional and non-institutional preschool upbringing and education.

The aforementioned funds were distributed at the proposal of the Municipal Council Commission for Education, based on the established Criteria for the distribution of funds to educational institutions and the submitted requests and determined priorities.

In accordance with the above, the Višnjik kindergarten was allocated funds in the amount of 25,000 KM for the replacement of dilapidated carpentry. 5,000 KM was allocated for the landscaping of the "Skenderija" kindergarten yard. The "Leptirić" kindergarten was allocated 15,000 KM for the installation of furniture and necessary equipment. Also, 5,000 KM was allocated to the "Lane" kindergarten for yard landscaping.

This once again confirms that the Municipality Centar Sarajevo, through its engagement and contribution, has for many years shown selfless support and willingness to improve the spatial and material conditions for the stay of children and employees in kindergartens within its area, and is working on promoting the importance of preschool upbringing and education, it was announced from the Municipality Centar.
