General Hospital: More Discharges Than Admissions of Covid Patients

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the past 24 hours, 13 patients were admitted for hospital treatment to the Covid department of the "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" General Hospital, and 17 were discharged home. Of a total of 185 patients currently hospitalized this morning, 12 are in post-intensive care, 9 are in intensive care, 4 are on ventilators, and 9 are on non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
Unfortunately, there were two deaths the previous day.

Otherwise, during yesterday, the General Hospital had 884 examinations, 6 surgeries were performed, 2 births occurred, and nearly 6 thousand services were provided. In the last eight months since the new work regime was introduced in this healthcare institution, the total number of services provided amounts to 910,854.

Over 22 thousand patients were examined through the Emergency Center, 8373 patients were hospitalized, while 8819 completed their treatment and were discharged home.

In this period, 601 surgeries were performed, and services provided by departments are counted in the tens of thousands.

Thus, the Radiology Department had nearly 59 thousand examinations, the Surgery Department 35,573, the Internal Medicine Department 20,579, the Gynecology Department 8398, the Neurology Department (number of examinations + number of services) 10,413, the Intensive Care and Therapy Department (OET + spinal anesthesia + examinations) 4738, and the Medical-Biochemical Laboratory performed 43,124 services.
