GENERAL HOSPITAL Since July 17, 173,896 services provided!

(Patria) - Reports from the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš" are transparently published, from which the scope of work of healthcare workers in this institution can be easily read. The Director of the Sarajevo General Hospital, Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović, informed us about the hospital's work results in the past days.

The total number of all forms of interventions, services, and examinations from July 17, 2020, to September 9, 2020, is 173,896. The total number of examinations through the emergency center was 5,511, and the total number of surgeries (elective + emergency + outpatient) was 1,278.

The largest numbers:

-    Department of Radiology: 12026 
-    Department of Surgery: 11690 
-    Department of Internal Medicine: 4179 
-    Department of Gynecology: 1253 
-    Department of Neurology: 1362 

Number of hospital admissions: 1,659
Number of hospital discharges: 1,760

The General Hospital previously appealed to the KS Government to find a way for additional financial resources, given that the number of services and hospital patients has increased manifold.
