General Hospital Receives Two Significant Donations of Protective Equipment and Disinfectants

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - UNDP today handed over a donation of protective equipment to the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš", procured with funds from the European Union, as part of the project to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The EU delegation, which visited the General Hospital, was led by Ljiljana Pandžić, program manager, who stated that the donation includes 36 thousand surgical masks, 3500 FFP2 masks, and 2000 disposable gowns.

Prim. dr. Marina Juroš-Zovko, assistant director of the General Hospital, thanked on behalf of the patients and staff of this institution.

"Protective equipment is used up quickly, and this type of assistance is welcome. A big thank you to UNDP for thinking of healthcare workers and for helping us feel safer while performing our regular duties with COVID patients," said Dr. Juroš-Zovko.

A relevant donation of disinfectants was also handed over to the General Hospital today

Jasna Prašljović, owner of the medical device distribution company "INEL – MEDICINSKA TEHNIKA" Sarajevo, and Almir Prašljović, director of this company, handed over a certain quantity of hand and surface disinfectants to the General Hospital.

"Given the complex epidemiological situation, the need for disinfectants has increased. This donation will help maintain the high standard of disinfection and antisepsis in the Institution, which is required by the current situation," said, among other things, mr. ph. Aida Kikić, head of the hospital pharmacy, and thanked the donors for their expressed care.
