Tonight at 7 PM, the highest air pollution recorded so far was registered in Sarajevo. The air quality index is 427, which according to data from the Eco Action Association is defined as DANGEROUS. Just an hour later, the index was 431, writes Patria.
So far, the highest pollution was on Saturday, December 24, with an index of 349.
Sarajevo residents are warned that this quality of air can cause dangerous consequences for the entire population, and that any exertion should be avoided while outdoors.
The most vulnerable categories of the population are pregnant women, the elderly, and children, as well as people with respiratory and heart problems, who should stay indoors.
