Dangerous Theses: The Revision Is Neither Bosniak nor Izetbegović's, but That of the State of BiH Against Milošević's Regime

Two very dangerous theses have been floated recently by the head of Serbian diplomacy, Ivica Dačić. The first – the revision of the judgment in the lawsuit of BiH against Serbia is a dispute between Bosniaks and Serbs, and the second that Izetbegović stands behind the revision, not BiH, writes Patria.

Before the International Court of Justice in The Hague, where relevant and respected international judges sit, disputes are conducted between states, such as the lawsuit of BiH against Serbia from 1993, and the revision of the judgment in that lawsuit, for which the application will be submitted next week when the deadline expires.

Nations cannot conduct a dispute before this court. Dačić, as the head of diplomacy, and also a former prime minister of Serbia, knows this, but it is politically profitable to float a false thesis to the public that Bosniaks and Serbs are in dispute.

BiH is not, for the first time, nor now when it submits an application for revision, suing the Serbian people, but the regime of Slobodan Milošević, which waged bloody wars in the Balkans and committed genocide in our country.

When it became clear that this thesis had not exactly fallen on fertile ground (which does not mean it will not be activated again), Dačić launched another dangerous thesis today – the revision is Izetbegović's and not that of the state of BiH.

The revision of the judgment is not the revision of Bakir Izetbegović, neither as a Bosniak, nor as the president of the SDA, nor as the Bosniak member of the Presidency of BiH.

The decision to go for revision was not made by him alone. Behind it stands the consent given to Izetbegović by 50 respected figures from BiH's political, academic and public life, and non-governmental organizations.

The consultation in the Sarajevo City Hall was organized by the Foundation Justice for BiH and the Institute for Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law.

The patron of the gathering was Izetbegović, and among others present were BiH agent Sakib Softić, head of the BiH expert team former US ambassador for war crimes David Sheffer, reisu-l-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein ef. Kavazović, former member of the Presidency of BiH Beriz Belkić, the top of the SDP BiH led by president Nermin Nikšić, former member of the Presidency of RBiH Ejup Ganić, president of the SBB Fahrudin Radončić, presiding officer of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Šefik Džaferović, president of the Party for BiH Amer Jerlagić, president of the BPS and retired general Sefer Halilović, president of the DF Željko Komšić, president of the Assembly of RBiH Miro Lazović, member of the Presidency of RBiH Mirko Pejanović… lawyer Asim Crnalić, professor Kasim Trnka, mothers of Srebrenica, representatives of the Association "Woman-Victim of War", the Association of Camp Detainees of BiH…
