Srebrenica SDA Municipal Board supports Hamdija Fejzić's candidacy for Mayor of Srebrenica

(Patria) - The Municipal Board of SDA Srebrenica has supported the candidacy of Hamdija Fejzić as a joint candidate for the Mayor of Srebrenica Municipality in the upcoming local elections.

Considering the current political situation in Srebrenica, and especially after the decision of Serb political parties to dismiss Fejzić from the position of Deputy Mayor of the Municipality, the Municipal Board of SDA made a decision to support Fejzić as a joint candidate for Mayor, valuing above all his experience and work in the political struggle for the rights of the Bosniak people in Srebrenica so far.

"We appreciate that Hamdija Fejzić, as the President of the Steering Board of the Potočari Memorial Center and the Organizing Committee for marking the anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica, has made a brave decision to run for Mayor of the Municipality, and we see him as one of the few individuals who could and should secure the support of all political parties in Srebrenica.

We call on all political parties, both parliamentary and non-parliamentary in Srebrenica, to support Hamdija Fejzić's candidacy.

Srebrenica is our common moral obligation and must not be a subject of political games.

Only together can we carry out this very difficult electoral process, which awaits us in October of next year," the statement from the OO SDA Srebrenica reads.
