NIP Centar Municipal Organization: Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office has seven ongoing cases against Srđan Mandić

(Patria) - The Municipal Organization of NIP Centar issued a press release stating that seven cases involving the mayor of Centar Municipality, Srđan Mandić, are being handled by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.

"For a long time now, and especially after the Municipal Council initiated the procedure for the recall of the Mayor of Centar Municipality, the Municipal Mayor has been making a series of insinuations and falsehoods on social media and in the media directed at the council members who signed the initiative and voted for the recall, as well as the members of the commission conducting the recall procedure.

The Mayor presents himself as a victim, claiming that illegalities are being prepared and carried out behind the entire procedure. Some council members, who are now enthusiastically lobbying for the mayor, also stated that they would support the initiative for his recall if he had done anything wrong, if there was a criminal complaint or proceeding initiated against him.

Given that the Mayor refuses to implement the verdict of the Constitutional Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning the organization and systematization of workplaces, and that in the past period, some council members, as well as employees, were summoned to the Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Sarajevo due to certain procedures occurring in Centar Municipality, a request was sent to the Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Sarajevo for information on whether any proceedings have been initiated before this body, and which ones, that relate to the municipal mayor.

In response, the Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Sarajevo stated that seven proceedings involving the Mayor of Centar Municipality are ongoing," the OO NIP Centar announced.
