THEY ARE NEGOTIATING Stevandić calls on Schmidt to withdraw decisions and threatens: The situation could escalate

(Patria) - In Banja Luka, Nenad Stevandić, President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, who is otherwise suspected of attacking the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and for whom a central warrant has been issued by the Court of BiH, addressed the media.

Judging by the statements of the RS leaders, the negotiations they so desire have begun among themselves, more precisely by sending public messages.

Thus, Stevandić threatened that "the situation could escalate" if Schmidt does not withdraw his decisions, "as Miroslav Lajčak did."

Stevandić reiterates that the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, caused a constitutional crisis in BiH. In doing so, he spoke of "calls for war within the Federation of BiH."

He also mentioned his status as President of the National Assembly of RS in the context of relations with BiH institutions.

"Dodik, Višković and I are not fugitives on the territory of Republika Srpska, but elected representatives of the people and protected persons, according to the laws and constitution of the RS," Stevandić emphasized and added:

"I responded to every summons from BiH institutions and bodies, including the Prosecutor's Office, and on multiple occasions. The NSRS, before the constitutional crisis and before the adoption of the law on 'unconstitutional institutions,' responded to every request for legal assistance from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, and after I learned that members of the collegium were summoned for questioning as witnesses, I also received a summons after them, and I responded.

At that hearing, I clearly told the prosecutors that the RS Constitution, which has not been amended by any High Representative and which is harmonized with the BiH Constitution, clearly protects all deputies in the NSRS from criminal and civil liability for all actions taken in this institution," said Stevandić.
