Those who forced healthcare workers to lay down their coats committed a crime against humanity

(Patria) - For days we have been following the situation faced by doctors and medical staff at the Konjic General Hospital. As the Cantonal Board of the SDP BiH HNK, we have not spoken out because we would certainly have been accused of politicking, they stated from this party.

"However, after the authorities turned a deaf ear to the demands and pleas of the people in white, who have not received their salaries for months, it is time for a brief review of everything that has manifested as a problem these days, but has been happening for a decade at the Konjic General Hospital. It is impossible not to ask where the authorities have disappeared along the vertical line, because during the campaigns they promised citizens that if they held power at all levels, through the synergy of their cadres they would more easily find solutions.

Lo and behold, the vertical authority today is horizontal, tucked away in its own benefits, not caring about the problem of healthcare workers. The previous hospital management, as well as the municipal authorities in Konjic, the cantonal authorities in Mostar, and the entity and state authorities in Sarajevo, are under the strict control of the SDA. Working according to that so-called vertical of yours, you have already forced healthcare workers to lay down their coats and committed a crime against humanity. Gentlemen, your people or your coalition partners are in leadership positions in the FBIH Police Administration and the ministries of health, your cadres sit in parliamentary benches, so do not bury your heads in the sand, do not feign solutions, but do at least something concrete to solve the problem you yourselves created. If you do not do so immediately, it will become completely clear that the ultimate goal of the SDA and HDZ is to shut down the Konjic hospital, and to continue displacing doctors and medical staff.

If that is truly the case, then it would be more honest to tell the healthcare workers clearly – so that they can, with a clear conscience, hand in their announced resignations and probably seek a better life somewhere where there is no SDA and HDZ, for example in Germany," the SDP stated.
