Oleg Čavka suspected of stealing evidence: His hearing at SIPA underway

SIPA members are searching the office and private properties owned by state prosecutor Oleg Čavka. Prosecutor Čavka is, as Žurnal learns, suspected of stealing evidence from organized crime cases. His hearing is currently underway at SIPA premises.

As we learn from sources close to the investigation, the prosecutor is suspected of having taken a mobile phone that was seized from Anes Kurbegović, one of the accused in the Lutka case, as part of criminal proceedings.

The investigation so far has established that the state prosecutor took the mobile phone from the case files and, late at night, inserted his own SIM card, which led to the discovery of his abuses.
