(Patria) - A meeting of political leaders at the BiH level was held today in Laktaši, hosted by SNSD.
According to SNSD, the meeting was attended by the presidents of political parties participating in the joint level government, Nermin Nikšić (SDP), Elmedin Konaković (NiP), Edin Forto (NS), Dragan Čović (HDZ), and Milorad Dodik as the host.
"An important step forward on key issues on BiH's European path was achieved at today's meeting. Significant progress has been made on the BiH Election Law, which will be finalized during February," SNSD announced.
Political leaders committed today to continue constructive partnership talks with the aim of reaching an agreement within the specified deadline, the statement said.
Some media reported that in addition to the agreed-upon solutions concerning the European path and the election law, there were also topics on which the participants did not agree, such as solutions for the BiH Constitutional Court, which SNSD insists on.
Nevertheless, SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated that today's meeting with partners from the joint level BiH government was constructive.
"Where there is a will, there is a way for leaders elected by the people to talk and decide. Today's meeting with partners from the joint level BiH government was constructive, which puts us in a position to finalize the agreement on the Election Law during February," Dodik stated on social network X.
