Okerić: Due to technical procedures, we will withdraw the item on funds for landslide remediation at Curine njive

(Patria) - A session of the Sarajevo Canton (KS) Assembly is announced for tomorrow, and the agenda includes, among other things, the Proposal for a Law on directing funds for assistance in the remediation of landslides collected based on a special fee.

These are funds intended for the remediation of the landslide at Curine njive, but the Chairman of the KS Assembly, Elvedin Okerić, told the show Špica TV Sarajevo that this item will most likely be withdrawn from the agenda due to technical procedures.

- The funds are secured, and the method of their expenditure was to be resolved by a legal regulation. However, just today, ahead of tomorrow's session of the KS Assembly, we communicated that we have an error in the economic code, and we will probably have to withdraw this item tomorrow due to technical procedures and place it on the next session of the KS Assembly, which is planned by the end of the year - said Okerić.

He explains that the error was made by the proposer of the law, so it will most likely be considered at the next session, and that this is the only way to solve the problem at Curine njive, given the complex situation due to divided jurisdiction.

- I hope that the adoption of this law by the end of this calendar year will unblock and enable the start of the implementation of solving this problem. We hope that this problem will be resolved - concluded Okerić.

The session will also consider a Decision prepared by the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs, which addresses the housing needs of the category of families of martyrs and fallen soldiers.

- That is a few more apartments with which we will close the resolution of the entire problem regarding the housing of more than 300 families from this category who have been waiting for the previous 15 years for the resolution of their problem - added Okerić.
