OHR: Law on the HJPC is fully compliant with the BiH Constitution

(Patria) - The Office of the High Representative in BiH responded on the official Twitter profile regarding the claim that "the HJPC was formed by force, by the decision of High Representative Paddy Ashdown, without any consent."

- Entity competencies in this area were validly transferred to Bosnia and Herzegovina through agreements signed by both entities and the state in accordance with Article III.5 of the BiH Constitution. This was followed by the adoption of the Law on the HJPC, which was passed by the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in 2004.

The Constitutional Court of BiH reviewed the Law on the HJPC and concluded that this Law is fully compliant with the Constitution - stated the OHR.
