OHR: BiH Constitution leaves no room for entity 'sovereignty'

(Patria) - The Office of the High Representative in BiH (OHR) commented on its official Twitter account on claims coming daily from Republika Srpska.

“Claim: RS will have the opportunity to gain observer status at BRICS.



Fact: Republika Srpska is an entity within the state, not a sovereign state in itself. It is part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina leaves no room for entity “sovereignty”. Entities are not subjects of international law by their nature,” the post stated.

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, proposed today that BiH should apply for membership in BRICS, an economic grouping that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
