(Patria) - The Office of the High Representative issued a press release stating that the visit of High Representative Christian Schmidt to Banja Luka was not definitively agreed.
"Today, the High Representative consciously decided not to take part in an orchestrated theatrical performance, bearing in mind the interests of all citizens of BiH. The High Representative continues to carry out his mandate throughout the territory of BiH as provided for by the Dayton Peace Agreement.
He spoke today with RS Vice President Ćamil Duraković about the situation regarding returnees in the Republika Srpska, and they agreed to meet soon and continue this discussion.
Also, during the day, the High Representative met with FBiH Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić and FBiH Minister for Displaced Persons and Refugees Nerin Dizdar.
Heated speculation about where and whom the High Representative might visit distracts from the real work that needs to be done to resolve the actual problems faced by the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina," the OHR's reaction states.
