OHR calls on RS to respect the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH and not to waste public money

Will the OHR react when it comes to the decision on holding a referendum in the Republika Srpska? As the OHR told N1, the decision violates the Framework Agreement for Peace, and the authorities in this BiH entity are expected not to spend public money on organizing the referendum but to talk with other political actors, reports the Patria news agency. 

'-As we have previously stated, the decision of the National Assembly of July 15 to hold a referendum on the RS Day violates the General Framework Agreement for Peace. Voters in the Republika Srpska are asked to decide on an issue that has already been resolved by the Constitutional Court of BiH, whose rulings are final and binding, and the entities must implement them. 

Instead of opposing the Court's decisions and spending significant public funds on organizing the referendum, the authorities of the Republika Srpska are expected to resolve misunderstandings through constructive dialogue with other political actors. That is the best way forward. The OHR once again calls on the authorities of the Republika Srpska to respect and implement the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH', the OHR stated.
