Ogrešević on the start of construction of the Asta factory building: Everything we do and fight for today has been recorded in Cazin

(Patria) - Everything we do, personally and with my team, and everything we fight for in all areas, we do for moments like the one recorded in Cazin today, said Nermin Ogrešević, Mayor of Cazin and President of NES.

Namely, the start of construction work on the Asta factory building was officially marked in the Ratkovac Business Zone. The new business facility will cover 20,000 m2, and the total area purchased by the Austrian investor in our Business Zone is 50,000 m2.

In the past three years, all necessary documentation has been collected and plans have been made for the realization of this significant project, although the company started operating a long time ago and currently employs about 50 workers, and with the completion of the new facility, it will employ between two and three hundred workers.

"I believe this is an investment that is important not only for Cazin and Krajina, but also for the whole of BiH, because we have not recorded a project of this scale here for several decades. Asta is a potent and very significant company in this energy sector and it produces special flat copper components used in the electro-energy sector, and their market covers the entire EU and beyond.

The City of Cazin continues to be a strategic partner to Austrian investors, as well as with new investments in the development of our Business Zone.

Projects like this, when realized, change everything. It's not just about new jobs, but also about the way this company operates, which focuses on energy, and their production and innovations are directed precisely in that way, so our students and pupils from vocational high schools will have the opportunity to learn, progress, and develop their skills here," said Ogrešević.
