Ogrešević on the Fifth Corps of the Army of RBiH: If it hadn't existed, neither would we, nor the Dayton Agreement, nor peace, whatever it may be

(Patria) - On the 31st anniversary of the founding of the Fifth Corps of the Army of RBiH, a delegation of NES paid tribute to the members of the Fifth Corps who laid down their lives for the defense of BiH.

"We who participated in the creation of our Army and its Fifth Corps know very well how difficult and thorny the path was and how it was to organize defense in an unjust and imposed war. Everyone expected us to fall in silence and disappear as a people, and we, in the most difficult conditions, created the miracle of Bosnian resistance solely through courage and closing ranks.

If the Fifth Corps had not existed, neither would we today, because certainly, there would have been no Dayton Agreement, nor the peace that came after it, whatever it may be. We are immensely and forever proud of the Fifth Corps of the ARBiH and will always speak of its fighters, battles, and exploits, of the honorable fight and successful defense of the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
