(Patria) - President of the People's European Union (NES) of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Mayor of Cazin Nermin Ogrešević congratulated Statehood Day to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Our homeland is Bosnia and Herzegovina and these days we are marking and celebrating its Statehood Day as one of the seals of its thousand-year existence.
On November 25, 1943, Bosnia and Herzegovina restored its statehood, which it had lost in 1463, when Bosnia fell under the rule of the Ottoman Empire.
This date we celebrate with full hearts and honorably as the Statehood Day of our only homeland, and today, in the light of the greatest bloodshed in recent world history, we have the opportunity to best realize the importance of the state and love for the homeland.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a state of all its citizens, has no alternative and there is no justification for retreating before its enemies and those who think they can divide it.
Let us raise high the flags of our homeland and raise even higher the standards by which we will fight for its existence, its progress and success in all fields.
Happy Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina to you," Ogrešević said.
