Ogrešević: We see no point in discussing something that the Trojka-HDZ-SNSD have already agreed upon in Bakinci

(Patria) - The only thing we agree on regarding the invitation from the Trojka leaders is the location of the proposed meeting for Monday, and as for the timing and previous chronology of events, they have mixed everything up, said the president of NES, Nermin Ogrešević, in a reaction.

"First, the Trojka agreed with Čović in Mostar that they would resolve the election of the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina through amendments to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, without amending the Constitution. Then they confirmed that agreement from Mostar with Dodik in Bakinci.

The essence of that agreement is to fulfill the HDZ's demand for "legitimate representation" which Čović presented to the public at a press conference in Mostar.

Since this agreed-upon model for electing the members of the Presidency between the parties of the state coalition is contrary to the BiH Constitution, the opinion of the Venice Commission, and all rulings of the European Court of Human Rights, we see no
point in further discussing something that the Trojka-HDZ-SNSD have already agreed upon in Bakinci.

It is obvious that the leaders of the Trojka parties remembered late that there is also a constitutional obligation to implement the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights, and now by convening a "general political gathering" they want to pull themselves out of the political
quagmire they have already deeply sunk into.

NES BiH advocates for the consistent implementation of all rulings of the European Court of Human Rights, but we note with regret that the convening and organization of the meeting for Monday was not carried out in a timely or quality manner, which is why we refused to participate in it," says Ogrešević.

SDA, DF, and Stranka za BiH also previously rejected the invitation to the meeting.
