Ogrešević: If the High Representative cannot feel safe in the entire territory of BiH, what then should citizens expect

(Patria) - Everything can be reduced to determining - is the Office of the High Representative (OHR) stronger or the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik with his unconstitutional actions and creation of crisis situations.

It is not good that the High Representative Christian Schmidt announced a visit to Banja Luka and then cancelled it. In our mentality, this is not a good message and therefore it can be perceived as weakness, and numerous conclusions can be drawn.

This was stated last night by the president of the National European Alliance (NES) BiH, Nermin Ogrešević, as a guest on the show 7 Plus on Hayat television.

- If the information that an attack on Schmidt was being prepared is true, then the reason for concern is far greater, because if the High Representative cannot feel safe in the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, what then should citizens expect - stated Ogrešević.

According to him, the expectations of BiH citizens from the OHR are great, just as they were in 1992.

- And back then we expected the international community to prevent crimes and Serbia's aggression against BiH, and we spent three years in that expectation. It cost us all dearly.

Therefore, those expectations are constantly present to this extent, in the direction of this being a normal country where laws will be respected, and thus creating an environment and ambiance for us to live normally.

It is obvious that our expectations are unrealistic and greater than what is actually happening.

We must objectify our expectations and see what we can do ourselves in terms of developing our awareness, because we are concerned about the future, and our concern is justified.

After what we have been through, we must be extremely cautious as citizens and as a people - warns Ogrešević.

He emphasizes that the focus of the High Representative's actions is directed only at the FBiH, and that the powerlessness of the international community is reflected in this.

Regarding Schmidt's statement that he is "concerned about the radicalization of Bosniaks", Ogrešević said that one can speak of radicalization if the concern is for our safety, that our heads remain on our shoulders.

- Bosniaks see all this, they experienced aggression, they live in the post-war period, and they feel what everyone is doing, and at this moment, no one normal can not be concerned about what we are going through.

Every day there is something new, some new message, anti-Dayton actions, Bosniaks are being targeted, and in a way, a target is being made of them - added Ogrešević.
